Stephen J. Young, Managing Director Steve Young brings extensive industry experience to the firm as Managing Director in charge of Fixed Income sales, trading and underwriting. Mr. Young joined SAMCO in May of 2004 and has over 32 years of experience in the municipal bond industry, including 20 years at Morgan Stanley in Dallas, TX, where he served as the Regional Manager and Senior Underwriter. Prior to joining SAMCO, Mr. Young served as Head Underwriter for BOSC, Inc. in Dallas. He earlier served in various fixed income trading and management positions at National Bank of Commerce in Dallas and at First National Bank of Dallas. He graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX with a BBA in Finance and is a graduate of The Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX. Mr. Young is a former board member and past chairman of The Municipal Advisory Council of Texas and also served as the president of the Municipal Bond Club of Dallas.
